Project summary
We will build an international research agenda covering under-researched dimensions of health outcomes by creating and consolidating a network of active researchers with a focus on the global south.
We will look at the following broad themes: socioeconomic status, stigma and health; women’s health: son preference, breastfeeding and paid work; the origins of health disparities; intersecting identities: gender, caste and class; and improving measurement and policy: understanding demand and supply of health services.
Core researchers will participate in three closed-door workshops of 2-3 days each over 12 months. At the end of this period, we hope to be build a coherent proposal for a research programme from multiple linked projects.
