Project summary
This programme will focus on the quantification of molecular interactions in physiologically-relevant settings. It is currently impossible to accurately and directly quantify interactions of molecules and their consequences in the complex physiological settings relevant to diagnosis and treatment of disease. We will use physical science-based approaches to develop technologies that underpin research in cell biology and biomedical science.
We will produce papers and patents from collaborative research. We want our technologies to be adopted by the broad biomedical research community for the study of diseases including Alzheimer’s, schizophrenia and cancer. We will promote a diverse and positive research culture change that we aim to propagate in Oxford and the UK. We will communicate our strategies via lectures on graduate education and publications in educational journals.
This multidisciplinary programme will equip scientists to be problem solvers in a diverse range of workplaces.
