Project summary
I will use an ethnographic approach to explore how people, especially men, access and use assisted reproductive technologies (ARTs) in the socio-cultural, religious and medical context of contemporary Iran.
My exploration of male experiences of infertility and the use of ARTs in Iran will provide new insights by taking an intersectional perspective considering gender, class and religion.
My findings can inform policy and practice in Iran and other countries with similar considerations.
