Fostering LMIC Engagement at the AMR Summit 2026

CSIRO and The Fleming Initiative are jointly organising the "AMR 2026: From Global Vision to Local Action" summit in Sydney, Australia, February 18-20, 2026. This summit aims to drive tangible progress in tackling antimicrobial resistance (AMR) by fostering collaboration, knowledge sharing, and innovative solutions. A key objective is to ensure the active participation of researchers and stakeholders from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), who are disproportionately affected by AMR. Wellcome has committed financial support for a cohort of LMIC researchers to attend the conference, providing a platform for their valuable contributions and perspectives, whilst also enabling new learning opportunities.
