Wellcome Global Monitor
The Wellcome Global Monitor is the world’s largest study into how people think and feel about science.
How much does the public trust science? Does the public trust health information sources like medical professionals and the government?
These are questions that the Wellcome Global Monitor helps answer.
We survey adults in 140 countries every two to three years to learn how people feel about science and health. The results offer a wide range of data on people’s experiences and what shapes their views on science, healthcare, and government. The published findings provide a diverse data set on the experiences of the public and what influences their perceptions of science, healthcare systems and government. This data can be used to inform policies and funding decisions and help researchers consider the social and cultural context of their work.
The next Wellcome Global Monitor will be published in late 2026 and will focus on public trust in science and contributing factors.
