The Sexual Health Project

We will develop the first episode of a six-part TV series set in the world of sexual health. The script will be written after a creative workshop with four sexual health researchers, 40 18–34-year-olds, eight actors, a director and a writer. Preparations will involve discussions and a storytelling workshop. The script will have a filmed reading with actors for an audience of the workshop participants plus TV producers. A recorded after-show discussion will help establish the impact of this project on the diverse group of young people.

The audio recording of the discussion can be used for future creative development and as a reference for sexual health researchers and innovators. We hope to scale up the experience and reach a wider audience by making a TV series for BBC3.
