Project summary

The Mental Diversity Law Network is a network of academics, service users, professionals and policy makers from a variety of fields across the UK. The network has a policy that at least 20% of participants at its events should be people with lived experience of mental distress, and the bulk of the funding will go to ensure that this can be met, most notably at its main biennial conferences.

We will also hold smaller events to engage with people working in areas relevant to mental disability, such as housing and criminal law, to encourage their engagement with mental disability law. We will also have activities for postgraduate and early-career researchers between the main biennial conferences.
