MedEnv: intersections of medical and environmental humanities

There is a deep and complex relationship between human health and the environment. In light of climate change and other growing environmental issues, securing health is one of the major challenges facing both humanity and the planet. 

We will bring together a range of researchers from the medical and environmental humanities to explore the intersections between these two areas and consider how we might respond to these provocations. 

We aim to explore how the humanities can be of value in understanding the challenges facing humans, animals and the environment in relation to physical and mental health concerns posed by climate change, environmental degradation and animal-borne diseases.
