Project summary
Located at the University of Sussex and jointly managed with the Institute of Development Studies (IDS), the British Library for Development Studies’ (BLDS) collection tracks the history of international development and health systems in the Global South over the last 60 years. The collection is one of the most comprehensive in its coverage of government and official sources, particularly from sub-Saharan Africa and South Asia from the mid-1960s to the mid-1990s. Much of it is uncatalogued and has a local classification scheme which makes it difficult to find material.
