Project summary
We want to follow Dr Peter Scott Morgan for two years as he explores new scientific, medical and technological inventions to enable him to live with motor neuron disease/amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He is open to everything that can be scientifically reasoned to have potential benefits and he wants to share his journey with the public.
This project will bring together television, and audio and digital recordings to deliver a compelling real-time narrative that empowers people by helping them understand the value of participation in health research and innovation. It will help people think critically about science, health research, innovation and the role they play in society. Meanwhile the engagement of Dr Morgan’s medical team, who are taking a 'why not?' approach to new ideas is allowing them to research and understand new approaches such as the triple-ostomy.
