Open Research Fund: project proposals submitted to Wellcome

Here you can see a list of eligible applications to the Open Research Fund since 2018, including project proposals, outcomes and decision summaries.

The publishing of project proposals and decision summaries only applies to this scheme and the Learned Society Curation Awards. 

2019 

In the 2019 round, we received 76 eligible concept notes. For 51 of these concept notes, the applicant consented to us sharing their project proposals and a summary of the outcome of their application. 11 applicants asked us to only share their name and/or project title.

We invited 19 applicants to submit full applications. For 18 of these applications, the applicant consented to us sharing their project proposals and short summaries explaining why they were successful or unsuccessful.

2018 

In the 2018 round, we received 96 eligible applications. For 86 of these applications, the applicant consented to us sharing their project proposals.

For 78 of these applications, the applicant gave us permission to include short summaries explaining why they were successful or unsuccessful. We funded 8 projects in this round.
