FUTURESEX 2019–2020

FUTURESEX at the University of Surrey is a network of scholars in sexuality studies that is engaging with cutting-edge creative practices to research issues that are relevant to minority groups.

FUTURESEX: Academia and Activism will engage activists and academics in an activist-run workshop. A public lecture will reflect on the history and future of sexuality studies and FUTURESEX: The Remix will be a two-day collaborative event with academics and dancers producing a performance and thinking about research challenges in innovative ways. FUTURESEX 2020 will complete the programme with a three-day international conference, asking what art, activism and academia can tell us about the futures of sex, gender and sexuality.
